L’Alzina (Double Standard)
This room is called “L’Alzina” (The Holm Oak) because on the north side there is a beautiful window overlooking our holm oak forest.
The Holm oak is the most common tree in the Catalan woods and the most affected by the reproduction and distribution of the pine tree.
Tree of culture and territory, very related to our ancestors and heavily used for coal in the era of the industrial revolution.
The room has a nice private entrance from the dining room, a window overlooking the mountains of Rocacorba and is adjacent to the magnificent holm oak forest of the farmhouse.
Inside we find a cozy room with a closet, a bench and an extra-large double bed complete with 100% cotton sheets.
The room has a very spacious private bathroom equipped with Naturals cosmetics, a hair dryer and 100% cotton towels.
The room is located in the annex adjacent to the cottage with access to the ground floor. Facing South-East, the pleasant rays of midday sun enter through the window. The window of the North facade has a wonderful view of the mountains of Garrotxa.
The walls are made of clay, wood and earth, the ceiling with Catalan vaults of ceramic, the floors of "La Bisbal" tiles and the paints of natural lime.
The noble materials such as clay, solid wood, ceramic or stone give it peace and tranquility, while colors such as white, brown and cream give it warmth. Finally, the technology of fixtures, insulation and heating allow you to enjoy the comfort of the 21st century.
