Can Buch, located in the beautiful Valley of Llemena, in the Garrotxa region, is surrounded by endless forests, springs, hermitages, rivers and ponds.

At 30 minutes from Girona and Olot, it is surrounded by nature, villages and emblematic buildings of the medieval era. It also boasts a wide gastronomic offer.

Hermitage of Sant Roc i Santa Lena

In the woods of the country house we find two pretty Romanesque hermitages of the twelfth century. Sant Roc enjoys a magnificent viewpoint from which you can see the historic centre of Girona, the castle of Torroella de Montgrí, the sea and the Medas islands.

Historic-artistic complex fortified by the 14th century wall that embraces the old town. The cathedral and all the gardens and fortified medieval houses stand out. Massive stone staircases, cobblestone alleyways and Catalan cuisine restaurants populate its interior spaces.

Els Gorgs de les Planes d’Hostoles

A hiking activity is a visit to the pools (Gorgs) of the Planes of Hostoles. An easy route lasting between 30 minutes and 3 hours around the various pools that are located along the river: Can Poetí, la Plana, el Molí dels Murris and Santa Margarida.

Historic center of Sant Feliu de Pallerols

Sant Feliu de Pallerols is a charming medieval village from the 12th-13th centuries, crossed by the river Brugent, a tributary of the Ter. The parish church, the tiled old town, the medieval bridge or the Hostoles castle are emblematic elements that you should not miss.

La Vall d’en Bas

An enchanted valley surrounded by all the volcanoes of Garrotxa and characterized by pastures full of animals: sheep, horses and cows popu-late all these places. There is a series of medieval villages that come toge-ther to form this valley and among which it is very pleasant to get lost.

Hostalets d'en Bas

A particular medieval village full of balconies typical of Garrotxa and with restaurants of Catalan cuisine. They still retain the essence of the Middle Ages: narrow stony streets, embraced by small houses with balconies of solid wood.

La Fageda d'en Jordà pel Carrilet

The Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of Garrotxa is adapted for excursions of all levels and types. Nature of thousand-year-old forests, emblematic volcanoes and natural springs. Go and discover the “tossols”, a series of curious hills formed by outflows of lava.

Volcano of Santa Margarida

Characteristic volcano of the Garrotxa, very well-known by the Romanesque chapel which was built inside its crater. Very easy to access by car, with a last stretch on foot.

Croscat Volcano

The tallest volcano in the Garrotxa region and possibly one the best-known. Characterized by its irregular crater due to the outflow of lava from the explosion. It is very easy to access by car and is adjacent to the paths of Fageda d'en Jordà.

Santa Pau

A medieval village very characteristic for the beans that the farmers grow there. In the pretty old town, you can see the main square, the church of Santa Maria and the castle that occupies the highest position in the village. A village of alleys and local history.

Besalú

A picturesque medieval village with places of world interest such as the monastery of Sant Pere founded in 977, the Romanesque church of Sant Vicenç or the famous old bridge of 105 meters built in the eleventh century.
